SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

To establish a stable and trusting relationship with suppliers, one that secures a minimum of operational risks, as well as to encourage transparency, objectivity and impartiality in the procurement of services and products, ILUNION has drawn up a responsible purchasing policy.

All purchases made by ILUNION, except for ILUNION Retail and ILUNION Lavandería are completed using a centralised purchasing platform.

The procedure to select, certify and assess suppliers also takes other factors into account, such as economic criteria and the observance of international standards in order to comply with social, ethical and environmental commitments. It also considers adherence to conventions like those of ILO, the United Nations Global Compact and holds Social Accountability certificates such as the SGE 21

Moreover, and in keeping with the organisation's goal, there is a preference criterion for those suppliers that employ people with disabilities and that comply with the General law of the rights of people with disabilities and their social inclusion. The aforementioned criterion also applies to those companies involved in universal accessibility and design for all activities for both physical and/or online environments and that deal in accessible products and services.
